It's been always hard to get the chord positions right (I've already tried my best using the quote function, but still the postions aren't perfect :huh: ). Anyways, I've transposed the chord in G key to match the one played by Ah C. You'll need the capo though....

I don't really know a lot about guitar. I started playing it early last year, and I was just learning it myself. I have an acoustic guitar, and when Ah C has a new song, I would try to figure out the chords (this's HOCC's effect, haha!). It's such a cool experience playing Ah C's song while singing it along! I want to meet more people who play guitar too.... these few months I should have more time, and hopefully can practice more. In fact, I wanna learn it from someone like yingcfoo, but I know it's so hard in Canada. Plus it must cost a lot! :huh:

Feel free to chat here or pm me if you wanna share your guitar experience. :)

littlefish, i have some suggestions. But I used the G key as base cos i'm more familiar with it than D key. (Sorry the formatting seems to go haywire but i think u can guess what i'm talking abt)

red: major to 7 chord (after reading sue's post)

blue: just some chords added (you think it sounds better after adding them?)

As for the orange, actually i'm not sure how to fit them in. Can i just skip those chords and go straight to the next chord (G or G7)?

yung: just played your version! The newly replaced 7th chords and the extra chords (especially the B7/D#) add some flavour to the song, thanks for your great suggestions!

for the D chord in orange, I think you can fit them in as in the line

I'm so glad that i can ask u abt guitar stuff here, cos on my own like not much motivation. Now i'm definitely making more effort to practise and try to progress beyond simple chords and plucking patterns!

Thanks yung!!! I think the newly added chords sound good! :sneaky:

The only thing is I think the B chord seems to fit better than the added green B7 chord. Well, this is just my opinion. 0:)

Ah! which of the major and 7th chord to play? that reminds me of the 7th chord theory posted by Sue earlier... ;)

btw, do u have the 1st version of hocc2? All the guitar chords are printed inside the booklet!! But she uses really difficult ones and i haven't got round to looking them up yet!!

i think u'll do fine, just try to practise more. Did u mention u r learning Shampoo next? very fast progress wor...i remember i could hardly make a decent sound on my 1st lesson, and my fingers hurt so much... actually now i still dun play very well esp the barre chords!! ;)

i just realised, there's a chord i duno how to type: there's a thing like a circle with a vertical line in the middle of the circle. wat's dat mean?

it's "C# circle & line" chord??!!

can start with half-barre until u r more used to it then move on to full barre...

even now i 'cheat' and use half-barre sumtimes, cos if many full-barre chords then my fingers quite painful leh...jialat!!

for F#m and Bm , you can bar the string 1 to string 4 , then when u pluck ,don't pluck the 5 and 6 string , and the string 4 would become the bass


for angel blue ,there are so many difficult chords ,but for beginer,i suggest they can play a simplied version. e.g. for the chord C7 ,C6 ,C9 you can play C instead ,for Am7 Am9 ,you can play Am instead,etc.......but for aug and diminished ,these chord must be prasticed ,can't be simplified ..... certainly , the simplified version must not as good sound as the original . But once u can play the simplified version smoothly ,u can start to practise the original version , i think such way will not make u so frustrated while practising(just my opinion) :rolleyes:

i ve checked up the chord "a triangle wiht 7" means "major 7" not "diminished", sorry i told u wrong b4.....

i have found that "diminished" has a symbol of "a circle", but i 'm not sure if a circle is equal to a circle with a vertical line :)
